Emily Klenk Received NEAC Athlete of the Week

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Cedar Crest's Emily Klenk Longmont, CO as its Student-Athlete of the Week selection in women's swimming and diving for the week ending Feb. 4.

"It is fantastic to see Emily get recognized for all of her hard work this season," stated Head Coach Charlie MacDonald. "She has been getting faster and more confident and we are very excited to see what she and her teammates can do at NEAC Championships."

Klenk has been named the NEAC Women's Swimming and Diving Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the Falcons to their record-breaking sixth overall win of the season at a meet against the College of New Rochelle and Bard College. The Falcon freshman won the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle with season-best times of 2:25.86 and 6:17.89, respectively. Klenk also competed in the 200-yard freestyle relay where the Falcons finished third out of four teams.

The next meet for Klenk and the Falcons swim team is the NEAC Championships, which will take place February 16-18 at SUNY Cobleskill.
