Cedar Crest College to Celebrate New Wrestling Facility with Ribbon Cutting
Allentown, PA (10/13/2026) — Cedar Crest College will celebrate a major investment in its growing wrestling program with the ribbon cutting of its new wrestling room on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Made possible through funds raised through the College's Capital Campaign, the new facility gives Cedar Crest wrestlers a dedicated space for training, competition, and team development. The space features a six-circle wrestling mat with wall mats surrounding its entirety, an attached area for cardio, stretching, and film study, and offices for the head coach and graduate assistant coaches.
WHAT: Wrestling Room Ribbon Cutting
WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 24 at 3:30 p.m.
WHERE: Lees Hall, Cedar Crest College, 100 College Drive, Allentown, PA 18104
The new facility reflects the rapid growth of Cedar Crest wrestling, which has grown from six wrestlers in 2022 to 20 in 2026. The team includes regionally and nationally ranked student-athletes and has posted a 16-3 record over the past two seasons. The ribbon cutting will celebrate that growth and the future of wrestling at Cedar Crest.

Media will have the opportunity to photograph the ribbon cutting, tour the new wrestling room, and speak with Cedar Crest Athletics leadership and head wrestling coach.
A light reception will follow the ceremony.
