"Real Estate" Art Exhibition to Open in February
Allentown, PA (01/10/2023) — A new art exhibit featuring the work of six Lehigh Valley artists will open next month. The exhibit titled, "Real Estate" will be on display in the Center for Visual Research at the Lachaise Gallery in Cedar Crest College's Miller Family Building from February 6 through March 5, 2023. Artists Eva Di Orio, Nestor Armando Gil, Katie Hovencamp, Joseph O'Neal, Anthony Smith Jr, and Tenesh Webber will be showcasing a range of works including video, painting, printmaking, photograms, collage, and sculpture.
"Within each genre, the artists link content and subject with material and scale. Using the title "Real Estate" loosely, the viewer may be able to form an idea about how artists perceive and use space and what those individual spaces mean as they'll all be displayed in a manner where the work will interact visually. For its size, the Lehigh Valley is fortunate to have so many artists to showcase as the first show in our spring semester," says Brian Wiggins, Director of the Center for Visual Research at Cedar Crest College.
The Exhibition will be celebrated with an opening reception on February 10 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Center for Visual Research.
