On Friday, April 21, three Cedar Crest students were inducted into the Delta Pi chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda. Alpha Sigma Lambda is a national honor society for adult students. The goal of the organization is to recognize the achievements of adults who accomplish academic excellence while facing competing interests of home and work. To be eligible, students must meet certain academic requirements. The group aims to motivate students to achieve academic and leadership excellence while creating a network of outstanding students and faculty.

On April 14, twenty-one students were inducted into the Rho Xi Kappa Chapter of Gamma Sigma Epsilon, the national chemistry honor society.

On April 12, seven members of the Cedar Crest Community were inducted into the Lambda Chi Chapter of Delta Mu Delta. Delta Mu Delta was founded in 1913 by faculty from Harvard, Yale, and NYU to recognize exceptional students in the field of business; Cedar Crest's chapter was established in 2010. On March 29, six students were inducted into the Omega Chi Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society in education made up of teachers supporting teachers around the world. This society provides undergrads and graduates with scholarship and grant opportunities along with many other resources.

On Thursday, November 10, nineteen students were inducted into the Zeta Chapter of Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tri-Alpha), a national honor society for first-generation college students. Dr. Jill Purdy, professor and Education Department chair, and Lynnsae Powers, director of persistence support resources, were inducted into the honor society along with the group of students. The mission of the honor society, which was founded at Moravian University in 2018, is to encourage and reward academic excellence among first-generation college students pursuing a bachelor's degree at accredited institutions of higher learning. Tri-Alpha chapters provide members opportunities for personal growth, leadership, and campus and community service. The ceremony and reception were held in the Tompkins College Center.

Sixteen Cedar Crest student-athletes were inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society. Chi Alpha Sigma works with NCAA and NAIA member institutions to recognize outstanding college student-athletes for their successes both on the field of competition and in the classroom. To be eligible for Chi Alpha Sigma, student-athletes must be a junior and/or senior with a 3.4 or higher GPA and have earned a varsity letter. "I am so proud of our student-athletes and this is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes both on and off the field of play," said Dr. Allen G. Snook Jr., director of athletics, wellness, and recreation. "It is exciting to have an opportunity to recognize these achievements with their induction into Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athletic Honor Society."

On May 4, seven Cedar Crest students were inducted into Cedar Crest College's Theta Chi chapter of Phi Epsilon Kappa. Phi Epsilon Kappa is a National Honorary Society and was founded in 1913. Cedar Crest inductees are pursuing Exercise Science as a major or minor, are members of the Exercise Science Club, and have earned a GPA of 3.25 or higher.

On April 19, several Cedar Crest students were inducted into Delta Mu Delta. The honor society was founded in 1913 by faculty from NYU, Harvard and Yale to recognize exceptional students in the field of business. The Cedar Crest Lambda Chi chapter was established in 2010.

On March 26, forty-nine students are being inducted into Alpha Alpha Alpha, or Tri-Alpha, a national honor society for first-generation college students. The honor society was founded in 2018 at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

On Saturday, October 17th, Felicia Kern (Nursing), Emily Krupski (Business), Karen Long (Business), and Glenna Weeks (Early Childhood Education) were inducted into the Delta Pi chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda. To be eligible for membership in Alpha Sigma Lambda, the national honor society for adult learners, students must have earned at least 24 graded credits and achieved a GPA in the top 20% of adult undergraduate students at the college.

Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tri-Alpha) Honor Society is a nonprofit chapter-based membership organization located at colleges and universities within the United States. An active Tri-Alpha chapter promotes academic excellence and provides opportunities for personal growth, leadership development, and campus and community service for first-generation college students. Induction into Tri-Alpha is earned by outstanding academic achievement and lasts for a lifetime. The Society's mission is to encourage and reward academic excellence among first-generation college students pursuing a bachelor's degree in accredited institutions of higher learning. Tri-Alpha membership is by chapter invitation for eligible students who must be a current full-time degree candidate in a baccalaureate program, has completed at least 48 credit hours (or 12 course units) terms of study, at least one of which must have been at the institution where they are being inducted (for transfer students), who has an overall GPA of at least 3.2 in all coursework, and who comes from a family where neither parent nor any legal guardians earned a bachelor's degree.

Alpha Sigma Lambda is a national honor society for adult students. To be eligible, students must meet certain academic requirements. This semester, 24 Cedar Crest College students were eligible for induction into Delta Pi, the local chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda. Twelve attended the ceremony. Alpha Sigma Lambda is the only chapter-based honor society for non-traditional students. The group aims to motivate students to achieve academic and leadership excellence while creating a network of outstanding students and faculty.

Nursing students are eligible for membership in the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing if, at the end of the junior year when they have completed 50% of the nursing curriculum, they have a grade point average of 3.0 or better, are in the upper 35% of their nursing class and have demonstrated academic integrity and professional leadership potential.
