Cedar Crest's national award-winning newspaper, The Crestiad is published by and in the interest of the students. Student staff members gather, report, write and edit news, features and sports articles. They are also responsible for layout, photography, advertising and circulation. The Conservation Biology club is a non-major affiliated club whose mission is to protect the environment and spread awareness of conservation issues. Roadside trash cleanup, visits to botanical gardens and zoos, promotion of conservation through annual Earth Day events are only some of the activities participated in throughout the school year. 2017-18 Cedar Crest College Conservation Biology Club officers are: President - Taylor Robbins; Vice President - Victoria Huffer; Secretary - Tasha Faletti; Treasurer - Anna Macagnone; Advisor - Amy Faivre.

The Cedar Crest College Chemistry Club is open to students in the entire campus community interested in chemistry. The Club gives students the opportunity to meet professional chemists in academic, industrial and medicinal chemical fields. The Club sponsors lectures with guest speakers that are open to the College community as well as to members of area colleges. Chemistry Club members gain extra insight into the field of chemistry by visiting laboratories and companies. Members also attend meetings of the Lehigh Valley Section of the American Chemical Society. 2017-18 Cedar Crest College Chemistry Club officers are: President - Susanna Ogozaly; Vice President - Shannon McGee; Secretary - Nadia Namous; Treasurer - Berniece Johnson; Historian - Jessica Miller; Advisor - Jeanne Berk.

Pitch is Cedar Crest College's electronic arts and literature journal. It is published and edited by those with a love for creative expression, featuring an editorial board composed of Cedar Crest students, alumnae and faculty. Pitch editors Michelle Chavez and Rachel Wielgopolski presented at the 2017 "Resistance and Representation" National FUSE conference (Forum for Undergraduate Student Editors) on November 2nd-4th at Cabrini University. The editors presented "Making an Editorial Policy From Start to (Almost) Finish," focusing on issues of diversity and inclusion in undergraduate publications. Students Nicole Roberts and Miranda Alvarez also participated. The students were accompanied by Alison Wellford, Assistant Professor of Writing.

The Cedar Crest College Cheerleading Club works to create school spirit and performs organized cheers at athletic contests and other campus functions. 2017-18 Cheerleading Club officers are: President - Kyla Gonzalez; Vice President - Jordan Pastor; Secretary - Sherlee Velazquez; Treasurer - Morgan Bruen; Advisor - Candice Sierzega.

Cedar Crest Christian Fellowship is the interdenominational Christian fellowship at Cedar Crest. It is based on the authority of the Bible as the inherent word of God given to humankind. Students lead small, weekly Bible study sessions that offer fellowship, prayer and fun combined with the study of God's word. CCCF sponsors prayer meetings, speakers, concerts, videos, etc., to provide spiritual growth, application and joy. All activities are open to members of the entire campus community. 2017-18 Cedar Crest Christian Fellowship officers are: President - Taryn Thomason; Vice President - Yvonne Jallah; Secretary - Hope Harrison; Treasurer - Victoria Avelar; Advisor - William Landis.

Buskin is a theatrical society for those interested in what goes on behind the scenes. Membership is achieved through volunteer work both on the construction crew and backstage production crew. Buskin is open to anyone who is interested in the theater and willing to work. Buskin activities include special effects, lighting, sound, design, stage management, scenic artistry, costumes, props, set construction, trips to other productions (both local and on-Broadway), and the presentation of one-act plays (in association with Alpha Psi Omega). No experience is necessary. 2017-18 Buskin Society officers are: President - Olivia Vassot; Vice President - Olivia Pastures; Secretary - Vitoria Ngo; Treasurer - Emma Gerstein; Trip Committee Chair - Tomeycia Diamond Scott; Frolic Committee Chair - Hope Hurd; Advisor - Kevin Gallagher.

The Black Student Union strives to represent the interests of African-Americans and people of African descent in all Cedar Crest College activities. By facilitating cultural exchanges among the campus population, they try to educate themselves and the community about the contributions of African-Americans. They also provide academic and social support to the African-American community on campus. 2017-18 Black Student Union officers are: President - Sarafina Woolridge-Burns; Vice President - Kayla Smith; Secretary - Tahirrah Steele; Treasurer - Jihnai Johnson; Advisor - Danielle Stokes.

Beta Beta Beta, a national honorary biology society, has a three-fold purpose: the stimulation of sound scholarship, dissemination of scientific knowledge, and promotion of biological research. Its membership is reserved for students who have superior academic records, have demonstrated special aptitude for biology, and are enrolled in biology programs, including nuclear medicine, and genetic engineering. Some of the activities of the Club are tutoring, sponsoring lectures on various topics, maintaining the nature trail, and conducting guided tours of the arboretum. 2017-18 officers are: President - Nicole Raimondi; Vice President - Julianna Marotta; Secretary - Fernanda Culichia; Treasurer - Magdalena Dammer; Advisor - Jenny Hayden.

The Cedar Crest College Art Society is open to any student with an interest in art. Its purpose is to increase general awareness and appreciation of art issues, activities, and work on campus and in the community. The Society gives students opportunities to learn about fields and professions in art by sponsoring guest lecturers and hosting trips to local galleries and museums. It also coordinates the end-of-semester Studio Celebration, a collection of student work, hosts arts-and-craft days throughout the semester, and offers creative activities at campus events! Amnesty International is a global movement of more than 7 million people in over 150 countries and territories who campaign to end abuses of human rights. Cedar Crest College Amnesty International officers for 2017-18 are: President - Jenny Garcia; Vice President - Francisca Sepulveda; Secretary - Yvonne Jallah; Treasurer - Cynthia Iloegbunam; Advisor - Chris Duelfer.

Alpha Epsilon Kappa is the Cedar Crest College chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, the national community service fraternity. Students belonging to the fraternity spend at least 15 hours in the community each semester helping those in need. They also participate in fellowship activities, on and off campus. 2017-18 officers are: President - Nathalie Castano; Vice President - Michelle Reyes Vasquez; Secretary - Destiny Tran; Treasurer - Jodi Tocci Weiss; Advisors - Tammy Bean, James Scepansky, Tom Brettell, Lauren Condon, Liz Ortiz, Eileen Brummit.

The Accounting Club provides networking opportunities for students, faculty and professionals in the field of accounting. The group informs members about different career opportunities in accounting and assists students in reaching their career goals by offering mentoring opportunities. Alpha Psi Omega is the national honorary drama fraternity. Members are inducted at a formal ceremony, and their names are listed in the Alpha Psi Omega National Directory. Candidacy depends upon excellence in some area of dramatic production, such as design, directing, stage management or stage performance, and completion of a series of theatre-oriented tasks. The fraternity's activities include attendance at local and on-Broadway productions, working on "after-show" cabarets, a formal dinner, and the presentation of one-act plays (in association with the Buskin Society). 2017-18 officers are: President - Olivia Pastures; Vice President - Megan Smith; Secretary - Olivia Vassot; Treasurer - Alexis Macatangay; Historian - Tomeycia Diamond Scott; Pledge Master - Hope Hurd; Advisor - Roxanne Amico

Nithya "The Shark" Lakshminarayanan was named NEAC Swimmer of the Week for her four win performance in this past weekend's tri-meet vs. Gallaudet and Wells!

Nithya Lakshminarayanan (Newtown, Pa.) from Cedar Crest College has been named the NEAC Women's Swimming and Diving Student-Athlete of the Week after helping her team pick up a first-place finish over Gallaudet University and Wells College. A senior for the Falcons, Lakshminarayanan won all three of her individual events and helped secure a win in the 200-yard medley relay with a team time of 2:11.54. Her performances in the 100-yard individual medley and the 200-yard freestyle bested the competition by over 10 seconds.

Charlotte's Web, a full length play adapted from the book by E.B. White, by Joseph Robinette was performed at Cedar Crest College on November 2, 4 and 5, 2017. The play was produced by special arrangement with the Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois.

These awards include Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year, All-CSAC and the CSAC All-Sportsmanship team. These awards were determined by a vote of the conference's 12 head coaches.
